Our Postage Costs


Our turnaround to dispatch is currently two working days from receipt of order, please allow for this when ordering. 

If, after reading our Postal Prices you are unsure as to the exact postal price for your order then please contact us first on 01733 234333. Please check the number carefully before dialing as a number of miss-dials are occuring and the resident is becoming tired!

Please note new prices as from 7th April 2026 in the UK and *Europe, Canada, Africa, Far East, Australia and New Zealand. *USA now have their own prices, these are separate to other countries.* The price increases apply to all UK services, 1st Class Large Letters are now a tracked service and 1st Class Parcels including tracked services, 2nd class Large Letters are unchanged. We no longer use standard 2nd class parcels service and use 48 Hr tracked instead.

Please note that all EU. countries are now split into 3 zones for postal prices, but in order to simplify postage there is one price for Zones 1&2 (Ireland, Germany, France, Western Europe, and a few in Eastern Europe including Greece) and a separate one for 3 (Norway & Switzerland, please mail us for postal cost as they are slightly more). If you are not sure which Zone you are please ask! Large letter (standard jiffy bag) prices have not changed and remain the same to all areas.

To keep prices sensible for medium parcels up to 10kg we will be using 24/48 Hr Tracked Royal Mail instead of 48Hr Parcels valued from £60 to £150. Special Delivery for a faster service has increased slightly but is still the best service for guarenteed speed & security of valuable items over £60.00.

* New postal changes, please read before ordering! All orders from customers in the USA and EU are now subject to the new tariff system including handling charges. This will be done at the time of charging by us before posting and means that customers orders will go straight through customs using an online cutoms system. Most of the parts we supply are either from the UK (10%) or European countries and the Far East (Japan, South Korea & Taiwan) so the tariffs applied are 15%. Don't forget that we still offer UK VAT exemption on all orders over 25.00 Sterling. To get orders done smoothly we ask that customers please list all the parts they require, as once we have calculated and completed orders no changes can be made or parts added as has been the case in the past. If necessary we may be able to give customers an approximate idea of costs for their parts before charging. In order to complete the online postal form we now require a phone number from customers.

PLEASE NOTE:-

Unlike many Companies we do not impose large minimum order values or expensive minimum shipping costs. Our basic picking/packing & postage charge for the UK on small parts in a jiffy bag is £3.30 1st Class, or £1.55 2nd Class, please state when making order. Or a boxed wick or other small item requiring a box for protection £4.45 2nd class or £5.45 1st class.  Please note that due to changes involving 2nd Class parcel post, items can take up to 7 working days to arrive (not including weekends). Please allow for this when deciding which service to use, if you need a quicker delivery we would recommend using 1st Class instead.
Overseas shipping costs from the UK , we usually only charge for shipping, with no picking/packing charge to keep costs to customers down. We can advise individual shipping cost after picking & packing for special orders so that a customer only pays right amount. Prices have remained the same to European countries and some services including tracked/signed have fallen slightly. Some prices to Canada & the USA have also come down and we continue to give our customers the best possible shipping service for the a competivive price.

Shipping to the EU and Republic of Ireland

Royal Mail now have an online customs system for most EU countries, this means that all details including order contents are registered at time of posting so that when order arrives in the destination country all details match up.
We will calculate EU Tariff , VAT and handling charges and charge them at the time of ordering. Packets and parcels will be delivered, taxes paid straight to customers after electronic checking. The EU have implemented a three Euro tariff PER ORDER LINE, to help customers we will group items into 'service kits' reduce charges. Also to try and help we can remove UK tax from orders over 25,00 Sterling and export the items so you only pay tax ONCE!

We are able to offer Tracked or a basic Untracked (up to a value of 20.00 Sterling) service depending on personal preference and order value (items over 40.00 Sterling will not be properly covered without tracking) Please let us know when ordering which you prefer as changes can't be made once the parts have left us.


The above International prices are basic costs to Europe, heavy or awkward items and large parcels to Countries such as USA or Australia can cost much more.
Cheques or Postal Orders still accepted in the UK, please make cheques payable to 'Base Camp' & signed/dated. International Cheques or bankers orders not accepted because of charges to clear them.
