A Flare lamp
dating from the 1970's, some scratches to the paint on the
steel tank and some
corrosion around the burner. Sometimes referred to as 'Smudge
Pots' lamps like this were used to mark and illuminate road
works until the early 1960's. Filled with paraffin they burn
with a large flame and can be seen from a distance.
A great working lantern for a road working re-creation or steam
roller accessory without the risk of auction sites.!
