The 'Heelless' gallery fitted to the Model 11 lamp, this lamp
has a centre draught burner with a tube running through
the tank. The foot of the lamp will have a ring of holes
to allow airflow to the centre draught tube. This gallery takes the Aladdin 'Heeless' chimney and 'Kone Kap' mantle. UPDATE 2014:- 'Kone Kap' mantles are currently out of production, model 11 and earlier lamps can be used with the 'Kone Kap' adaptor which allows the later type 'Loxon' mantle to fit. |

The
very different 'Loxon' gallery fitted to the Model 12
lamp, this lamp also has a centre draught burner with a tube
running through the tank. The foot of the lamp will have
a ring of holes to allow airflow to the centre draught
tube. This gallery takes the 'Loxon' chimney and 'Loxon' mantle. This gallery was also fitted to the 'Super Aladdin' #14 burner which was introduced to replace the Model 12. Something of a misnomer as the 'Super Aladdin' was a cheaper design, side draught burner. However the opportunity was taken to strengthen the wick winding mechanism, always a weakness on the Model 11 & 12. |
